Beetroots? Something your doctor never told you !!!
High blood sugar level is one of the major causes of Diabetes in the world today. The good news is that some special vegetables have been found to reduce blood sugar level, we'll be learning about beetroot and how it can be used to reduce blood sugar levels. We'll use two of these vegetables; the beetroot and mint leaves.
Beetroot is a vegetable being taken for granted probably because of the lack of knowledge about it's positive effects to the human bodies. Mint has been found to have similar effects too. Let's get down to it!!! Beetmint juice on the way.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Peel off the beetroot skin and chop in cube form as seen in the picture.
- Wash with salt water and rinse under water example clean tap water.
- Remove the mint leaves from the stem and wash with salt water, rinse under running water too.
- N/B: Any water source can be used , just make sure it's clean.
- Chop the mint for easier blending
- Get your blender; electric blender preferably.
- Blend the beet and the mint .
- Your beetmint is ready, you can serve chilled.
Please do not sieve out any fibre, take it just the way you took it out of the grinder. DO NOT SIEVE, THE FIBRES ARE VERY IMPORTANT FOR INSULIN REGULATIONS.
