Sweetest bean pottage recipe. Yummy!!!!
Beans is a very popular legume in this part of the world! It may be difficult or even impossible to find a family that do not consume beans; it could be white beans or brown beans as the cases may be. It's a very good source of plant protein and trust me preparing them in the form of pottage could be one of the easiest foods to prepare. Now the recipe I'm about to share to you guys is a unique recipe, it will make you to just fall in love with pottage beans, if you're ready to learn then pay attention and do not forget to visit my blog https://cyndyclaire.blogspot.com for more recipes.
What we'll need:
Beans
Dry Scent leaves ( avoid excessive usages)
Palm oil
Red onions
Smoked fish
Knor seasoning
Salt.
Preparation steps
• Parboil the beans and wash thoroughly, keep aside. Use enough water to parboil, it's not nice adding water bit by bit when you're parboiling beans, it hardens it. Allow the beans to cook for a longer time during parboiling, it should be somewhat soft before bringing it down from the heat source.
• Soak this dried scent leaves in hot water, wash out after 5 minutes.
• Pour the beans back inside the pot after washing, add water to the level of this beans, do not allow the water to pass the level where the beans are. Return to the heat source at once.
• Add the Scent leaves and cook for 5 minutes
• After 5 minutes, add palm oil, knor seasoning (not more than 1) and smoked fish and continue cooking.
• After few minutes, check the beans, it should be done, then add your salt and onions and turn
• Cook for about 3-5 minutes then bring down.
Please, do not allow all the water to dry up, leave some water in the beans, moderately though, it makes it sweeter. Your yummy bean pottage is ready.
